Denoising render regions

It seems as if the "Render Region" is checked as well as "Crop To Render Region", still the whole image is being denoised. I compared the speeds of a cropped area (about 1000px x 500px) and it took about 30s to denoise. The I rendered the same size without cropping and denoising is pretty much finished instantly. Maybe worth checking. But put it way down on the to-do-list.
