instancefile attribute feature usage

Hi,

I could not find any info on how to use the instancefile feature. Supposedly it's supported since build 2020.1.5.
However I could not get it to work. Is it supposed to work with .orbx files only or is .bgeo.sc also supported?
In either case, .orbx or .bgeo.sc, nothing shows up in the render.

Thanks in advance!

You can instance .bgeo objects. There is nothing special about this feature, as you can see in the attached image. You only need to declare the attribute pointing to the .bgeo file that you want to instance at this point. The material can be set in the instancer OBJ node.

Thanks,

I see, the problem was, I was using compressed files (with the .sc at the end). That doesn't seem to work. With .bgeo files it works.
Thanks for the quick reply and for your help!
