Hello,

I've created a wet sand simulation with houdini. Is there a way to export it to render with Octane Standalone?

Thank you.

You can export a full sequence to .orbx files, but currently the plugin is going to save a file for each frame, so I am not sure if this feature is going to be useful for you.

Why do you need to render the animation in Standalone?

Hi Juanjo,

I don't want to render the whole simulation animation. I just wanted to add sand to my scene and so I did that in houdini. I want to render it in Standalone because I don't have a license for the plugin.

Is there a way to save .orbx if I don't have the plug in?

Thank you for the replay

Nope, sorry. Perhaps you could export an alembic file from Houdini with the particles information, but I am not sure if it is going to work in Standalone.
