Hi,

Here is a quick overview of what will be available with next Octane beta.
Water is made with bump
Trees, plants and leaves made using opacity maps (except background which is an image).
Original in 1024x800 rendered in about 22 min

Edit : Forgot to mention, it's lit with an hdr map

Your topic name cracked me up
Good scene, the water is very cool looking (almost green, like natural water, not blue-ish pool water)

Nice vegetation, details (like the leave in the foreground + on the water)
The background fit perfectly the scene

10/10 !

Agree, its like the left part was directlighting and the right part was pathtracing

I need to adjust my rating to something like

9.8/10

Hi enrico. Nice image:) Did you use diffuse transmission for umbrella material?

Looks nice, does bump map have any kind of filtering ? some parts of the water look like square pixels.

very nice still, but some direct lighting would be welcome.

Thanks guys for comments,

n1k:I used the opacity slided to get some transparency
javadevil:yes I noticed that issue, I activated the smooth but it does not solved the problem.

Sam`s image got the same problem: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... ?f=5&t=863

Are textures filtered in some way in Octane?

Nice image between, looks very realistic

Cheers
