Plug in installation issues.

Hi,
Coming from the other side of the form. Making a jump from poser to Houdini.
I'm having issues with the plug-in installation. I have version 20.5.278 of Houdini. Is this version correct of the plug-in I should use (Octane_2024.1.2.0_Houdini_20.0.896_Studio+_Win64).

Because after installing I get these weird messages trying to open up octane plugin. See attachments

When I first opened Houdini

When I try to use Octane in Houdini

Also this is what I put in the houdini.env file at the bottom.
PATH = "C:\Users\spart\Documents\houdini20.5\Octane_2024.1.2.0_Houdini_20.0.896_Studio+_Win64/bin;$PATH"
HOUDINI_PATH = "C:\Users\spart\Documents\houdini20.5\Octane_2024.1.2.0_Houdini_20.0.896_Studio+_Win64;&"

HOUDINI_DSO_ERROR = 2
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi there, your Houdini + Octane versions need to match.

Please consider upgrading to a newer production build like Houdini 20.5.370.

Alternatively, you will have to use an earlier version of the plugin 2024.1.01 for Houdini 20.5.278.

We only support the last production builds for 19.5 and 20.0 and the last 3 production builds for the latest 20.5

Also if possible, consider using a package instead of the environment variable.

Remove the environment var for Octane that you added then follow these steps.

1) Download the correct version of Octane to match your Houdini build
2) Extract plugin (wherever you are storing it)
3) Extract the batch into the root of the plugin
4) Run the batch and follow the prompts
