Are there any plans to make Octane play nice with the new Cops in Houdini 20.5?

Yerh would be great
Does the op: not work the same way as Redshift?
Just got back on the octane wagon, must say getting some crisp renders and great seeing a lot of the old issues fixt

Hey toketronic,
I am not sure how Redshift handles it, can you send me a screenshot and more details?
You can try 20.5 already as the builds are available in releases.

You use an expression to call the texture you want (
op:/path/to/copnet/node )
In redshift it works in copernicus. In octane, it only works in old cops.

Situation is not great at the moment:
- I couldn't get the op: method to work
- plus, EXR files saved from new cop nodes do not work with Octane

For Redshift it did not work at first but Juanjo made a fix pretty fast
Let's hope the same goes for Octane regarding op:
Thanks

No not yet, but we should have something by the next release I'd imagine.
