Saved image is darker than the Octane viewport

Hey,

I have been using Octane for some time now, but i just noticed this when I save my image.

Image

The saved image is darker in the shadows than the octane render viewport.

Can anyone help me so that my saved images look 100% like the octane viewport.

Thanks!
Lars

Hi larsgehrt,
Could you please share a simple scene (just a few objects and some lighting) with the same settings you're currently using that reproduces the issue you're experiencing?

Paride

Hey, here is the download link for a scene that has that issue.

https://we.tl/t-tEa5piWmeH

Its active for 7 days.

I included an image, where on the left is the saved image, and on the right is the octane viewport that i just snipped in using the snipping tool.

Any help would be very welcome, because i cant use the saved images for anything, and therefor i might need to look at another render option.

Lars

When my octane render is done, i prompt it to max´s framebuffer, and the result is really bad.

Is this a gamma thing?

Hi larsgehrt,
Glad to see that this fixes you issue. I was thinking of a gamma setting, but if this works, that's nice to know.

Note that you can change the default viewport setting to HDR in Octane Preferences / Kernel default.
(for New scenes, and loading non octane scenes)

Thanks
