Modo 17 vs Octane crashing with v16 scene

Hi everyone,
Are there known issues with the new Modo 17? Or specificly from bringing scenes from older versions?
I had a scene that on PC would not even load, crashing modo every time. Then I tried on Mac, where it loads, but if I try to render animation, it will render 3-5 frames and then crash.
Mind you the scene does load fine and would be able to be rendered with Modo's native renderer.
What I ended up doing is reinstalling Modo 16 and I was back in business, but its really bad to be bombarded about the new version and how it now comes with Octane as a standard, just to find out its super unstable now.
(Oh and yes i deactivated the version that comes preinstalled, also tried with that one, and eventually uninstalled Octane and reinstalled 2023.1.3 with the same result )
