Texture nodes issue

Since the introduction or redesigned nodes there is a [+] button which automatically adds nodes or opens a handy menu with other nodes. In texture nodes [+] button adds one UV transform and projection node type automatically. Actually it should open a menu where you could choose different transform nodes like 2d transformation or different projection type. Is there a possibility to change this?

The [+] button adds the default node if Octane Standalone specifies the default type. If there is not a default node type, it shows a menu containing all available nodes.
You can always invoke the menu by "SHIFT + Click".

The UV transform default value for RGB image texture is not 3d transformation in Standalone. It's a node with 2d transforms x and y

I know I can invoke the menu. It would be easier if the menu appeared when clicking [+] button. Sometimes following Standalone behaviour is not a good option when there are better solutions. Take a look at C4D plugin where some of the solutions are made for the better usability than for the mimicking Standalone workflow.
