Hi,

I am having some problems with Octane for Cinema4D 2023.
I use a MacBook Pro M2 Max with Ventura installed.

These are the two issues:
-Textures and materials previews are not visible on node editor.
-Cinema 4D crashes when I close Live viewer.

Do anybody has the same issue?

about node editor previews, you need to go to c4doctane Setting/Nodes, and disable the New style option, or material preview doesn't work in node editor: About crash after closing Live View, in general, it happens if you have previously installed a XB (beta) version, please close c4d, then try to delete the oct.dat file, at the following path, the c4doctane preferences will be reset to default, and a new oct.dat file will be created on next c4d start:
/Users/UserName/Library/Preferences/Maxon/Maxon Cinema 4D R2X_XXXXXXX/prefs/oct.dat

If not enough, please delete any c4d custom layout with c4doctane panels inside, and rebuild them from scratch.

I nodi funzionano ma continua a crashare ancora anche seguendo le tue idicazioni.
Non si se è un problema della mia versione di cinema 4d (2023.2.2)

the nodes' problem is solved but it still crashing.
I don't know if it is a problem of my cinema 4dI (2023.2.2)

I keep getting this. Octane X demo. Mac studio, m2 Ultra. I saw octane icon but when tried to render the wheel spun, had to force quit and ever since this is what i get. Any help? I have followed video instruction on tweaking terminal but that doesnt work.

this error message is expected, you need to allow the c4doctane plugin and library in System Preferences/Security and Privacy panel, and restart C4D a couple of times:


Then go to c4d menu Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and share a complete screenshot of the panel, or copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.

Please, also share a screenshot like this one, that shows both the c4doctane directory opened, and the entire installation path, thanks:
