TOP ROPFetch seems unable to determine if render-file exists

when pointing ROPFetch to a OCTANE_ROP, it won`t recognise if it already has rendered that frame.
That means it will just overwrite the files instead of marking as cooked...
Why is this, and/or can i change that?
I guess it`s because ROPFetch seems to resolve to an incorrect filename when using OCTANE, especially when using $OCTANE_PASS/$OCTANE_LAYER in filename..
(expected output name is not matching the real output name)

many thanks for any hint!!!

Hmm, I'm not sure why this happens, to be honest. Can you please share an example scene with this issue and a brief description about how to reproduce it?

Thanks,

sure, many thanks for your reply!!

i attached a brief example... where i use a ROPFetch inside TOP node.
if i now render this for the second time, it should mark the rendered files as already cooked and skip the rendering process...
at least it`s like this with all Houdini native ROPs...

now, it´s perfectly possible that i just loverlooked something here, but i could`nt get this quite handy functionality to work.

really appreciate your help, as always!

thanks
