Denoise problem (SLOW RENDERING)

Hi,
When we enable to denoise at the end, the overall rendering gets twice slower. So instead of 0:40 (denoise OFF) it takes 1:20 (denoise on).
Denoise itself only takes 3-5 seconds at the end but why the overall rendering is twice slower? Then there is no point for denoising I can just render a bit longer and get cleaner image. Thanks

Hi coilbook,
which nvidia driver are you using?
Did you check if the issue is the denoise time or the addition with the time for saving the file too? maybe you are saving in a nas disk? or is the denoising working GPU overworked by the OS? Did you try disabling your first GPU for rendering, and use it only for denoising? Or assigning the denoiser to another GPU?
Regards

Hi Paride,
Currently I use 512.15 Separate card is dedicated to denoising. here are my settings. They are default. All GPUs are 3080TI old GPUs had same problem with speed.
Should I increase max denosier interval?
Like this scene denoiser on 56 sec, OFF - 25 seconds
Thanks

Here is another post where they have the same problem
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=74086&p=378707&hil ... al#p378707
It does appear it renders slower since denoiser was first introduced. About 2 -2.5 times slower. I wonder if denoise on completion check box does nothing and it denoises during rendering.
