Animating Boolean

Hi,

I have an animation I am working on where a cutting boolean moves through an object to reveal the inside. However, when I render in Octane, it does not show the element being cut. Is there something I'm missing to make this work, or any workaround?

Thanks in advance!

Andy

Probably need to define the bool object and the target object as "reshapable proxy" in the Octane object properties. Objects default to "scatterable/movable".

Side note: I usually put bool objects in their own collection. Then for the render, I make sure that the collection is turned OFF. Otherwise, the bool object causes render weirdness.

My friend. I am sending you the biggest e-hug/bow/praise that the internet has ever seen! This worked a treat!

Thank you so much for your help!

My pleasure! The reshapable proxy issue can apply to many render sabotages. And I will pass credit to Bartek, who helped me with it ages ago.
