Universal override?

Hi,

New Octane user here. Making the switch from Vray/Modo to Octane and love it sofar.
Would it be possible to have the automatic override go to a Universal material ? I am working with a PBR workflow and the Universal Material is perfect for that. Now i have to go change a bunch of nodes to get it right.
Main thing is that the Glossy Material doesn't support the metallic in PBR. Universal does.
If we can have options to choose how it will override that would be great.
i also made a bad quality video :)

Thanks,
Bart

Hi Bart

This is on the "To Do" so will likely be in a future release of the plugin.

Thanks

Seems like the override should convert a MODO principled material (with the Metallic channel) to universal (or whatever supports PBR, does 'standard surface material' in 2022?). I like how the plugin is smart enough to convert to glossy, specular, diffuse based on MODO material settings. I think converting to a metallic material if MODO diffuse is 0 and spec and fresnal are 100 would also make sense.
