Light issue Octane 4.05

Okay, so I have had to go back to using Octane 4 due to financial issues, everything seems to be working fine with one or two exceptions, specular materials look for lack of a better word rubbish and if I place a light emitting object behind a glass/specular object the light does not show. Is there a trick to getting light emitters to show behind spec objects in 4.05?

So nice to get a response, oh well, off to message Jules again.

The lack of responses can be as simple as the lack of solutions for your problem. At least I don't remember any trick about how to resolve it, although perhaps there is a solution, not sure. This sounds like some kind of limitation at that time. Be aware that anyway Octane 4.05 is not supported at all currently.

Thanks,

FYI, I've just checked it out and the light is rendered behind a specular object without any problems. Perhaps you have some flags disabled in the light object, or the refraction is too high, so the light object is out of the bent rays.

The lights can be rendered even behind multiple specular objects if you have enough specular depth rays in the kernel.
