Cannot Install OctaneRender Demo.

Hello everyone,
I'm having problems installing the OctaneRender demo and I'm wondering if I can get some help.
I install, start it up and it instructs me to install the latest Nvidia cuDNN. I do that. The bar fills up and then nothing. I start the demo again and the same thing happens. I then go to try and download manually only to find that the "open destination folder" does nothing.
A little searching here and I find that the installation folder path should be: (C:\Users<user name>\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\thirdparty\cudnn_7_4_1") however that location doesn't exist and is not created when I install the demo. The only AppData entry for OctaneRender is found in the Roaming folder, and that folder is empty.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Running: Win 10 Pro, 64
Geforce GTX 960
Driver version: 461.92
Thanks in advance!

I forgot to add one detail. I also downloaded Octane Benchmark after the first few install failures and that work with no issues at all. Didn't even ask me to DL the cuDNN again. So again...not really sure whats going on.

Hi,
have you tried to run the demo as Administrator?
Which kind of Nvidia GPU do you have?
Installed Nvidia driver version?
Win 10 version?

* I found a solution * it looks like a bug in OctandeRender installation it don't create the correct folders.
If you look in (C:\Users<user name>\AppData\Local\) and there is no \OctaneRender folder, create it and also inside a second folder called \thirdparty now when you startup OctandeRender it will ask for the missing dll and also display the full path where to put them. I'm not sure if "download now" works correctly now, I downloaded the drivers and moved it to the folder using explorer.
And now it start as it should have done from the start.

Hi,
the cuDNN Download button during installation is working correctly here.
If not, you can download the cuDNN library from the following link:
https://render.otoy.com/downloads/ef/08 ... _4_win.zip
Then navigate to C:\User\Your User name\AppData\Local\OctaneRender, create the
thirdparty directory, and copy in in it the 8.04 cuDNN library unzipped folder.

Hi,
if you are talking about c4doctane plugin, the folder must be called "plugins" in lower case, and you need to update your Maxon C4D to the latest build, (R16.050, R17.053, R18.057, R19.053, R20.057, R21.155, S22.118), or the plugin will not be correctly loaded, please go to c4d menu Help/Check for updates.

Thank you Beppe - this worked for me! I literally spent hours troubleshooting this issue and could not figure out where to put the dlls. There was no OctaneRender folder in my AppData\Local directory. It would be super helpful if otoy specifies the full directory on the dialogue in future releases!
Just to note for other users, my downloaded zip was cudnn_8_0_4-win. I had to remove the '-win' for it to be recognized. Only name the folder 'cudnn_8_0_4' (or your version respectively) in your 'AppData\Local\OctaneRender\thirdparty' directory. Your dlls go there.
