Hey Chris,
What's your plan of releasing Octane for Unreal 4.26? I assume you wait until it gets out from preview releases.

May I ask if RTX 3080 is working in this version?

Hello,

Are there any plans to translate Virtual Textures in the newer versions of UE4 ?

I've started using them for the benefits of 8k+ resolution but also because of the UDIM compatibility.

See here for an example I'm putting together for virtual production conversations : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DlLwg7 ... e=youtu.be
There's almost 100 8k textures loaded onto tiled geometry in only ~9 materials and while i could have 100 materials it wouldn't justify the setup time in doing so.

As I push further into this area it'd be great to be able to render in Octane whereas at the moment Unreal crashes as it tries to convert the textures.

Thanks!

Virtual textures are difficult to translate in a meaningfull way to octane. All I can do is copy all the 8k textures, turn on out-of-core rendering.

Could you provide the octane logs?

- Go to the unreal main toolbar
- Click the octane dropdown arrow and select "OctaneGUI"
- In the OctaneGUI, go to windows and select "Create log window"
