OSL Distort Texture?

Is anyone aware of an OSL texture in Octane that will distort its input image with noise? I'm looking for something similar to C4D's native Distort Effect.
I found this post describing how to do use noise to distort in OSL, but it is for Blender and not using an input image/texture:

Here is an OSL shader by Rohan Dalvi that does that. Just create a OSL Projection node and load the script. Make sure your object has uvs.

Hi galleon, I'm trying to use your osl but I can only move my projection, not distorting...could you please share an example? I would appreciate it a lot, Roy

from 2021.1 there is a new
Distorted Mesh UV projection mode, no need to use OSL:
