My friends,

I noticed more solid this 2020.1 version of Octane. I am really thinking in moving to Redshift because Octane for 3dsmax sucks a lot comparing to Cinema4d versions
But i really love Octane... when it works is a pleasure to work with it.

but... Why 3dsmax version is always so left behind when improvements come..?

Why isn't AcesCG implemented yet in Octane for 3dsmax? I see always Cinema4D is first in everything regarding Octane plugins.

We really need to start working in an AcesCG pipeline. please! Everyone is moving :)

Thanks in advanced,
Javi

Thank you! i don't even have that little arrow to expand that dropdown menu..
it must be because i have a 4k monitor... but with the mousewheel down buttom.. i found it..
I will test it.

I assume this is a transform for the output.. from linear srg => to ACEScg color space.. right? done at the end of the chain.
and it's not a full acescg pipeline... "yet"..

if it is like this.. the good is that it avoids one step of transforming the final renders from linear srgb to linear ACEScg. Something is something :)

Thanks!
Javier

Sorry to bother... i changed that to EXR 32 bit ACEScg and rendered like always and it looks the same as the linear srgb version..

Which is the proper workflow for rendering in ACEScg... i can't find anything in the manual online about it... nor even that EXR dropdown menu...

thanks in advanced :)
