Backdrop gradient

Hi,

I want to create a setting with some objects in front of a backdrop. See reference image in attach.
The intention is to create a smooth gradient backdrop from dark grey (top) to light grey (bottom).

Tried different things, but I can't get the result as the reference image.

Where do I start to get this result? Or is there any existing template I can start with?

Best,
Tim

Try a infini backdrop, position the chair not too close to the wall. Add lights pointing to the chair not to the wall. The curved transition from floor to wall will get you that subtle gradient.

I was first messing around with HDRI's.
Thanks Rizon, the lights worked.

In c4doctane 2020.1 you can use a Visible Environment with a c4d Gradient node, with C4D Shader OSL conversion active in Settings:

... and in case it's not obvious, use a Shadow Catcher material ground object. Octane Diffuse Material>Common>Shadow Catcher.
