Hi,
you need to install v2020.1-RC4, it is the only version compatible with S22 at the moment:
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=74531
Please, download and install based on your license type and operating system.
You need to remove from the c4doctane folder, all the unnecessary c4doctane-RXX.cdl64/xdlib files not related with R21/S22 specific versions, and leave only one c4doctane-R21.xdlib file in Program files/Maxon/C4D S22/plugins/c4doctane directory.
It will work also with S22.
V2020 will be officially published very soon, so it will be also available from the personal Downloads section.
ciao Beppe

Hey,
QQ: Is the older V4 Octane going to receive the S22 compatibility update as well or not?

Hi, I'm also using v4.05 and just updated to S22. Is there going to be v4 support or has the day finally come now for 2020?

I wouldnt count on this.
S22 needs newer Nvidia drivers on which Octane v4 does not run good at all. They would need to update v4 to Optix7 (v4 uses optix6) and I don't think they will do that anymore.
