Seems a crash on octane.dll. I've written the steps to follow in crash situations. Did you see in release notes and apply?

Hello. It also happens to me often, due to textures. Moreover, crashes have a chaotic order, the octane can read the texture and then start to crash because of it. Saves if you understand what kind of texture and re-save with a different bit in a different format. Sometimes up to 50-80 crashes per day, with a constant search for textures that this time did not like. Already somehow wrote about the problem on the forum, but then no solution was found. Those. the problem for about a year exists has become very aggravated in the last 3 release versions. I tried to install other drivers, roll back, install the studio version - nothing helps.
It seems that the problem is rare so it is not a fact that a solution will be found. But still, if there is an opportunity to devote time to this, I would be very grateful, because I’m very pleased with the octane as a whole, but recently the number of crashes is not compatible with at least some productive work.

Version? Also could you please send a few bugreports and c4doctanelog.txt?

cinema 4d r19, octane 2019.1.5 (and it was same issue in last 3 stable releases) the current driver is 442.19 (but as I already said the problem has existed for about a year, so there were different versions of drivers) right now I'm trying to fix the project from crashes, I can show it on Skype, or in any messenger where you can show the screen. I apply what is written in the octane log during an error.
is this enough or more information is needed? I will provide everything you need
upd
same issue in Cinema 4D R21, just test it

Hi,
please, deactivate all the octane licenses, then upgrade win 10 to 1903, or 1909, and report back, thanks.

ciao Beppe

Hey. Thanks, did it today, checked on a project that crashed - the result has not changed. In other words, the same octane crash.

Now crashes even when using the standard cinema gradient. Is there any chance of fixing this or telling me where to look for a solution?

I have the same problem, huge scene (for me, at least), constant crashes (c4d just gone), 2019.1.5 and 19.0.68, 442.50 as recommended, 980ti, 1070, 1080, 1080ti on a dual xeon workstation.
No c4d textures whatsover (even disabled), all 245 tex files in the tex folder. Had to switch to 2020, it's a bit better now (I wouldn't have done it in the final phase of a project, but I don't have a choice).

Oh, and please, just a question: if you enable texture compression at one texture, does it get cached in this folder?
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\cache\texCache\imageTex

Whenever I enable it at one texture, the compressed version never gets stored, my folder stays empty and everytime I resend the scene the materials get recompressed, very strange.
