I have a simple scene where I have pentagonal prisms cloned into a sphere. They are reactive with music using the sound effector. What I would like to know is, how can I make it so the colour of the pentagonal prisms is based on their height from a gradient?

How did you actually give colors to pieces?

I used a instance range and gradient.

better to use InstanceColor, link it to cloner. Then give color control from Effectors. It will take the C4D's mograph colors

Thanks, but how would I do that? I've got it at the moment where all the objects change colour according to the music.

You're asking something is not directly related with octane. How you do that for standard renderer? Put a sample scene and let's adapt it to octane

I've figured it out now thanks. I'm using the colour gradient setting in the sound effector, through a instance colour to drive the diffuse
