Our office occasional experiences hours of down internet and I’m unable to use octane. What do I do to get it working?

My solution was to invest in a dongle and put a license on it. They stay active for several weeks and only have to be renewed occasionally. But it's an extra cost to the customer.

Adobe CC does this automatically with a grace period, but Octane requires a dongle to maintain an active license during internet outage periods. I think they need to reconsider this policy.

Otoy also needs to update their website. Did you know Octane 4 is out?

Activation is like that, You need internet for now. Or You can choose dongle refresh it every now and then.

Alternatively You can tether mobile phone if it allows You to make hotspot and share internet.

1. Fix the internet in the office
2. use mobile phone to have temporary internet for license activation
3. Ask (pay 50$) for USB dongle to have offline licensing system

Thanks all. Definitely will not pay $50 for a USB key when they're $0.50 now. So Ill go with tethering in these cases.
