19.1.2 (18.5) Linux problems

Hi,

I have a V4 license and tried to run 19.1.2 test release but I wasn't able to. When I tried to run OctaneServer it complained about my license not being a valid All-Access subscription.

Then I ran Blender and it is still 2.79, not 2.80?

Thanks,

Jason

To use Octane 2018 and newer you need to upgrade your v4 license.

Thanks J.C., but I downloaded the V4 test version that should work with the license I have.

Look again at the page I linked to:

[quoteREGULAR LICENSES (FOR V4 USERS):

The download links, provided in this post, are intended for OctaneRender Enterprise License Holders (which requires OctaneRender All-Access). For users still using OctaneRender 4, it is possible to access this Test Release thanks to our specially-made "Regular" versions. The links for these "Regular" builds can also be found in the links below:

I haven't noticed the links below.

Have you contacted the support? They should answer faster than anybody responsible here.

From a Facebook post:
That's a mistake. This is 2.79. 2.80 versions are coded as 20.x.

No problem. :) I just saw Chris' post that it's not 2.80, so not interested. :( Thanks,

Jason

Thanks ChrisH, as someone who will never have a facebook account, I wish that they would spend a little more time here.
