Getting Alpha from 32bit map

Hi,
translating some billboards from Lw to Octane.
In Lw i can get Color and alpha info from same node: In Octane i did not find a way so i had to do this: same image nodes, one in color and one in Alpha mode.
Am i missing something or this is correct workflow for Octane ?
In case, it would be useful to be able to get Alpha from same node as in LW. Maybe inside Diffuse node there could be an option (like also Vray does) - a switch which tells the node to gather Alpha (and not RGB) for given channels (i.e. Opacity). So if i plug same node into Opacity, it will not get the RGB info but Alpha one automatically.
