Resizing Handles on render region

The way render region works is quite awkward. To change the size of a render region requires drawing out a new rectangle. It would be better if you could resize the region using handles.
Also moving around in the live viewer is impossible if you have a render region, when you click and drag, instead of moving the view, you draw a new render region. We need either a shortcut key that allows scrolling while keeping the render region, or scroll bars on the live viewer window.

I don't think as you do. Also it's possible to pan the render buffer while you have RRegion active. Do it by RMB of mouse.

This is great, I didn't know this, but I think you mean MMB. The RMB brings up the context menu.

There is no MMB on my Mac Magic Mouse, or easy way to MMB on my Wacom tablet. Is there a key combo I can hold with my left hand while using my wacom pen?

Don't know about the magic mouse, but for wacom you certainly can.
You can customize the pen per application. These are the settings I use, and it works great.

my problem is I hate using the buttons on my wacom pen - I'm forever pressing them when I don't want to - I'd much prefer to hold down a key to invoke MMB and left click with the pen

there is a program for mac called Karabiner that lets you have more control over your keyboard. You might be able to do something in there.
