Hi guys,
im trying to create a material that has displacement on Octane 4.02. Before i used to right click on texture, go to c4doctane select displacemenet then pick the image.. now it seems "displacement" disappeared from c4d octane in "Texture", and when i upload an image it doesn't work.. any idea how i can fix this for this version? thanks

Delete current plugin and install the latest build by reading install notes.

i removed the "C4doctane" folder from "plugins", opened C4d, Octane was not there.
Then i readded the c4doctane folder to plugin, deleted the R's except 20, reopened C4D and Octane was there, but the problem is still there. i still cant see "Displacement" in the list.
I am going to my subscription page, all 3 files to download are downloading the same thing it seems "OctaneStudio-for-C4D-V4.02.1-R3-win" its 46 mbs zipped folder, Attaching reference
Can you please further explain where can i find "Install Notes"? What am i doing wrong? Do i have to download the version thats after 4.02?
In case it's easier to resolve this by phone or call please let me know.
Thank you

Hi,
please have a look at the following video tutorial:
https://youtu.be/Dydb1JNfVFE
Also download and install Standalone application (not the zipped version), since it changes some Windows registry optimized for GPU rendering.

Hello,
you sent me a video that details how to install Octane for C4D 19:
1- i am working on C4D 20
2- if you read my previous post, i have already installed this exactly as it says in youtube link. My Octane 4.02 seems to be working fine in all aspects except for "Displacement", I cant seem to find it in the menu as per the attachment below.
3- All 3 Subscriptions in my page ( Studio Standalone, Studio Maxon Cinema 4D, Studio All-Access Plugin License) are redirecting me to download
the same file "OctaneStudio-for-C4D-V4.02.1-R3-win"
4 - Where can i access the standalone application (.exe file)? Should i uninstall the current exe version i have, then install it again, then add "c4doctane" to "plugins" again from scratch?

- all 3 "download" buttons are redirecting me to download the same file

Update: I just uninstalled Octane 4.02, deleted the folder from Plugins, then Installed Octane again from scratch and re-added the folder inside Plugins, im still facing the same problem: i cant find displacement in the attached.
Help! Without Displacement then really most of the fun of doing the work isn't there.
Much appreciated.

- Displacement still missing after second installation

It's same on me. But why don't use "add displacement" button?

Hi,
I don't know if this gonna be useful but you have to click on Add Displacement button. Then double click on the white square/shader and you can add your image by clicking the three dots. It worked for me.
