Daylight/Spherical Map Ground Permeating into Scene

Hi All,
Probably a 'noob' problem with a simple answer.
I am having an issue with spherical maps and the Octane Daylight system. I have been doing some interior arch vis renders and it seems that the green/ground from the environment and/or spherical map is somehow permeating into the interior of my scene causing a green lighting tint on the inside - living rooms, gym halls etc - even rooms with small windows near the ceiling. I cannot for the life of me understand why this is happening or how fix this. When I worked in Lightwave, I used a dome with a spherical sky texture set to illuminate to light my scenes with OK results. Any ideas?
