Hey guys,
I can't figure out how to achieve this effect in octane:

The only thing I get with the dirt node is having it on the edges of the surface but not on the normal or bumps crevices:

Hi,
you need to use Octane displacement, or the c4d displace deformer, to make the dirt work as expected, here is an example with Octane Displacement and an Universal material:

Okay, as expected...displace only.
Question: why are you using the universal material?

Just for the simplicity to have all the possibility in one unique material node, without mixing materials.

Another possibility is to use a curvature map (you would have to generate it externally with Substance, or 3D-Coat, etc.) and use it to control the mix of materials.
