OBJ files - default material type

as it seems, that the plugin for sketchup never gets stabile (at least for me), i have to use the standalone version.

and one thing that frustrate me is, that the default material for obj files are glossy, so i need to select every single material and change them to diffuse.

would it be possible to add an default material option for obj import in the settings - like it's now added in the plugin for sketchup?

ps. i like the standalone verion :-) (apart from this material issue and the face that i can't lock a camera position - but that's an other story.)

thanks

Hi Jorgensen,
can not sketchUp export your scene to .orbx?

It might do - but Octane crashes my Sketchup.
And as i remember it, Octane does not let me select witch objects i would like to export.

I might do it all wrong, butit works fine for me, apart from the glossy material.

Hi jorgensen,
in Standalone Preferences/Import/OBJ you can specify some import preferences for obj materials from the .mtl file:
