Random uvw transforms

Is there a way to apply random transforms to a material?
I have a map showing a bunch of wood. I want to apply this to a load of fence panels and have it not look like the same map on each panel. I've not been able to work out how to move the map up and down (offest?)random amounts.
Is this possible?
It' seems to be available on C4D but I can't get it working in Max.

Cheers, looks great but I can't get the GTMAP#0 type maps.
Is it because I'm on 3.06.4 - 4.38?

Hi, Paride,
This is great but you need to have separate objects to do so.
It would be top to random not by objects but by elements.

MatIDby element ?
What I want to do is randomize color of one ID by element : randomize color of leaves of a tree that share same ID. I am still with 4.41
If it is with 4.42 ( instance range and color) I am very interested in infos how to use this with 3dsmax version.
One more question: is there a way in max to display gradient ramp larger than in slate material window ? When I have a lot of values, it is a pain to select them.

Hi HHbomb,
this with 4.41.
I would not know if gradient map in slate editor can have an extended view.

Hi Paride
So how would one use this for...
1 randomly changing the hue/saturation/brightness of different leaves on a plant
2, randomly changing the overall hue/saturation/brightness of the whole plant so all instances of it don't look the same
3 doing this to our library of octane proxys.
