Light options/controls please

I've asked for this many times, but here's an example of why it's so hard to light with octane :

I'm trying to match cg characters to complex background plates for a film. Stuff that was lit with several HMI light, dedolights, using barn doors, hotspot focus controls etc. Right now in octane I'm using a basic octane rectangular light and having to build boxes to use as flags for the light (so I can get a specific shaft of light on a part of my character) without it affecting every other object in my scene. Now, I have tried using ies lights with different profiles but these have no control at all. The only way to change the cone shape of an ies light is to physically move the light forward, which itself causes other problems with the scene.

So here's my request : please make lights that are controllable. Ie have barn door controls in both directions, controls over the shape of light (cone, rectangular shaft) etc all changeable within the light parameters themselves so I can simply drag a slider to change the cone size or falloff effect.

I can't tell you how important this is, all other renderers have these simple and essential light controls.

Hi darkline,
enable IESLight orientation in Octane Global Preferences, and edit IES using Gamma and Radius.

Thank you, had no idea about that settings box - will try it next week and see how effective it is...

would still be much nicer to be able to have an interactive cone though, one we can control the shape of, sharpness, etc with simple parameters, any chance of this? But thankyou! this is at least something :-)
