Tangent Normal ?

Is it possible to render Normal info channel ? The one that's used for faking geometry detail.
Trying to create flakes normal map, but seems like i will need to use another renderer for that, tried everything i guess, didnt work.
Using 3ds Max.

Hi Exaco,
you can not have normal map with displacement, with bump texture is tangent texture pass.
Yu can use 3dsMax displace modifier, convert to poly, then baking and render normal map.
