Issue with geometry

Hi. I'm fighting with this issue. It seems geometry doesnt import properly in Octane standalone. As you can see on this screenshot in Daz, the foot fit over the terrain.

but when i import the OBJ geometry in Octane standalone, the terrain doesnt import properly.

It seems that Octane import subdividing the geometry, so is there someway for import without smoothing nor subdividing?

Try importing your terrain OBJ in Blender (free), if it's wrong there also then the terrain export is the problem...

Haven't had this problem before. Within the OBJ properties in Octane, click the little wrench option. There are some subdivision options in there... put subdivision level to 0

These are my settings on preferences. The subd level is 0 but I still have this issue.

Hi
Looking your blender screenshot, as blender standard cube is 1x1x1 meter, maybe its an unit problem…

In the 1st screenshot it looks like as if there's a kind of a ground plane above the terrain.
Maybe it's this ground plane mesh, we see the foot is poking in.

No, it's just the terrain. I think Octane standalone subdivide the geometry still when the subdivide option is 0.

Hi leo64,
do you mind to share the daz scene?
I did never have issues exporting from DAZ
ciao beppe

I attach the daz scene file. It has the terrain and I added a sphere over the terrain so you can see the issue when you import the obj to Octane. The issue is not with the export from Daz but with the import from Octane. It seems that Octane smooth the terrain by default.
