macOS Sierra
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048MB
16GB
CUDA Driver Version 8.0.63
OctaneRender 3.05.3 (Stand alone)
OctaneRender for C4D version: 3.05.3 R1
C4D R16.050 (Build RB131856)
I keep receiving an error message suggesting that " The plugin liboctane.dylib has crashed" each time I try and open octane's live viewer window in C4D. I've tried opening with a simple default primitive model to make sure it wasn't a 3D model issue, but it still crashes and send me the error. Can anyone help me?

Have you set plugin accordingly to readme.txt? What you see in console window when C4D is loaded? I can't see your bugreport.zip here.

Thanks for the reply back. When I open the console window in C4D I see the following:
Loaded Octane DDL:OctaneRender 3.05.3 version:3050300
Octane Render for Cinema 4D 3.05.3
Octane Render SDK version: 3.05.3
I followed the readme.txt fill exactly, but I still get an error. Is there a way that I can send you my bug report?

You can attach a zip version to you messages. I think it's a hardware related issue not a bug. What happen with standalone? Can you render material previews in there?

I can render material previews in the standalone version. As far as hardware goes, I've been a doing projects using Octane with my current hardware set up for a few months. When I did a fresh install of my macOS system a few days ago, I began to get errors alerts from Octane. I've attached the bugreport.txt file as well as a screen capture of the message I receive.

Same plugin and different OS. I have no experience with Sierra. Here only thing i can see that's a crash on environment codes. My suspect is your OS and drivers.

Hmm. I was using this version of Octane on macOS Sierra before with minimal hiccups. I'll double check and make sure all drivers are up to date and do a few test on my end. I'll keep you updated this week.
Thank you for your help thus far

I'm back. So, apparently Octane for vC4D 3.04.5-R2 and the Octane standalone V3.04.5 work much better. I suspect that the latest version of macOS Sierra, my graphics card CUDA version and the latest version of Octane play nicely on my machine.

It's not a solution. Have you checked 3.06-test3?

No, I haven't checked 3.06-test 3. The latest I have access to in the download section is 3.05.3 (R1) and 3.05.3 (Standalone version).
