Mesh displacement crash

Not sure if this was best place to post.
I have an animation with 2 displacements built with animated noise using falloff, using native Cinema4d displacement deformer on a plane with 1000 segments.... This is nested in a SubD modifier on level 2 and an Octane object tag to update objects..Doing macro shots so need the geometry to hold up..
Scene wont render, i either octane crash or blue screen.
I'm pretty sure Octane handles millions of polygons, sure I read somewhere around 7 million(not sure though). Im not great at math but surely this doesn't even hit the million mark and the machine goes into meltdown. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a no go with what I'm doing?
Heres my specs:
Octane VR Standalone 3.05.3 and Cinema 4D VR 3.05.3
Asus X99-E WS Workstation
Intel Core i7-6800k
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 32GB
2X 12GB NVIDIA TITAN X
