I got this working in C4d, and in the Modo preview render, but can't get it to work in the Octane for Modo Render. Is there a special way to get an image seq as an hdri? Mine just went all white...

Thanks!

Hi - I'm not sure exactly what you mean here.....do you mean when rendering an animations inside the OctaneRender for Modo plugin? Which version of the plugin are you using pls?

Sorry I think I posted this in the wrong spot. But here is my version: OctaneRender 3.03.4 (3030004)

I am using an image seq as an hdr for my environment. I am using it to capture the reflections from the original shot. And the reason I have it set as the hdr is because its for VR so I use the hdr as a 360. It lines up great and the reflections match perfectly. But I need the reflections to move, which is where I use the image seq as my HDR environment.

Like I said, in the preview render it works, but then in octane it wont. In c4d in the environment settings, you can check "animated" and set the amount of frames.

Hope I explained that better,

Thanks!

but then in octane it wont.
Specifically where is it not working pls? When opening the viewport, rendering an animation inside the plugin, or when exporting to ORBX/OCS?

Also - make sure you are using the latest test release (3.5.3.116), since some issues related to animated environments were fixed there.

Thanks

Paul

Just in the plugin in the render window. I will give the new plugin a go. Just difficult for our studio because then we all have to keep the latest versions. Hard to switch between projects. But I will let you know if it gets fixed when we feel comfortable upgrading.
