Hello I am a Newbie here,

and have a question about renderinstances with different material. Hope you can help me.
I already searched the forum but didnt get successfull.

We have very often car-scenes with different cars and different colours. Is it possible to pick a special material to the renderinstance?
Thanks for your help.

No as you thought. But you can use RandomColor texture. It will generate 0-1 values for render instances. Connect it to a octane gradient and give colors. Or check image for two different setups.

Ahmet, another user was asking about randomizing image sequences on instances, Would the RandomColor texture be able to do this?

I cannot be used to change time on image sequences. But it should be working with octane gradients. Add some images under gradient and randomtex to input. I had idea for adding a button in gradient that will create multi images.
