VR project - Emissive texture broken - Urgent help needed

I am having a nightmare with a render for a VR project we are working on.
It is my first project in Octane and I have been learning as I go, so am presuming this will be down to my lack of knowledge, its always either a check box i've forgotten or some sub menu that I haven't explored!
I am outputting an animation of a tree house, where a load of objects in it go Zero G, the light drops out and a light flies around it. There are some lightbulbs that I have on wires inside the treehouse that flash on and off (few frames per flash as it seems to be killing my render times), they use an emissive texture and it looks awful, I have read they are difficult to nail so my questions are the following:
1. For a video/animation, is there any other way that's more effective to light a bulb and have it react with the environment around it?
2. If it's emissive, can anyone give me an 'optimum' setting for it?
I am attaching some images that will hopefully shed some light... see what I did there, on the issue. If I need to upload any other images/settings etc please let me know. Have added my emissive texture settings, the right hand side is the render, it's like the light has only bounced one... not sure what to do to change that, is it samples? If so will that make my frames take forever to render.
Thanks so much for your patience and will appreciate any help anyone can give me!
