Rendering at higher resolution (Pathtracing)

Question: Is it possible to use pathtracing at higher resolution? I tried to do an architectural render using the power of 2 (4000x2000 +-) setting and my display driver gives up. Does this mean I'm lacking Video Ram?
I am just using daylight for general illumination. And some emmissive material for the interior.
Thanks in advance. It's my first time to do architectural render and I can get it to look realistic yet. Any tips and trick would greatly be appreciated.

Short answer, you should have no trouble rendering at 4000x2000 with your 2GB of ram.

Please run the Octane beta 2.44 installer and reboot your system. Then try again.
Why is that needed? The installer disables the display timeout check of Windows which kills Octane and resets the graphics driver, if a CUDA kernel takes more than 2 seconds to complete.
Please let us know, if that doesn't help.

Thank for the reply marcus, I needed the size for a 20inx30in image.
I've installed the 2.44 already before doing the render. It's just that the preview view becomes all white and windows say that "graphics driver recovered" or something to that effect. Ended up just using direct lighing but will definitely re-try doing the render again. If it happens again I will do a screen capture to help you get a better idea of what is going on.
It might be "user-error" for all I know. LOL!

No, I'm pretty sure that what you see is the timeout recovery of Windows - see here:

Usually the installer fixes the problem by disabling the timeout, but it gets applied only, if you really
run the installer and then reboot Windows. You can also manually disable the timeout by changing a key in the registry. If you need some help here, please let me know. It's described in the MSDN link above.

Hi Marcus.
Here is the message that happens... Any assitance you can give me would greatly help as I am not comfortable tinkering with the registry for lack of knowlendge.
