Strange artifacts when importing models

I'm having some issues when importing models i've purchased. I'm getting jagged polygons in certain areas that are not part of the original model. Importing the objects as OBJ's. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Hi RouseandFable,
check the normal tag, the best way to handle objs import is still with Riptide Pro, I guess:

Bepeg4d can you point me to how to check the normal tag, otherwise maybe i should try Riptide Pro as you had suggested.

You can also have the viewport show the normal direction and check if you have flipped normals.

Toto79 I'm not really sure what menu you're under but i can't find where the Normals are on my end for some reason.

You can also try to update latest Cinema 4d version (r18.039). New version contains a lot of improvements and bug fixes for obj imports.
