Stange things with motionblur

Hi all,

i try to animate an circular saw. it is important to animate the blade with motionblur.
When i enable the passes, the blade is going smaller in the first 20 frames and i've got no motionblur.
Without passes the mb works. but in any frames the blur makes a white transparent square (only geometry, no alphas).
It apears randomly for 1-3 frames.

I've tryout a lot in the mb-camera settings and the Octane-rendersettings. Witout a solution :(
The rotation of the blade is baking out and have an object tag wit motionblur set to transform.
C4D R18

hope anyone can solve the problem.
Have a nice day
Jörg

Here are some screens.

Here you can see the problem.

Looks like you mixed up.
1- What's your passes? If you have motion blur pass then mblur effect will be disabled.
2- If you see scaling kind results on rotating objects this means that rotation is very fast and flipping effect occurred. So you need more time_sampling. Increase it from Render Settings. It's just for Picture Viewer not for LV.

Hi aoktar,
I need no Passes, it was only a test to see what happens. The issue happens in LV and in the Picture manager.
Yes, the Rotation is very fast. I tried to render with higher samples, and Chance many others things in the settings. Without success. I will try to reduce the Rotation Speed on Monday.

Thanks for your reply
Jörg

Better than this pls send a sample scene to me. So let's see what's happening.

Hi aoktar,
I will send the scene to you at monday via wetransfer.

Did you enable motion blur in octane camera settings and give it the proper shutter speed?

Hi,
the solution is: decrease the rotation speed of the blade. thanks to aoktar for this tip!
It wold be nice to have the passibility to define the mb-strenght in the object-tag of each object.
When I need more mb of an object so I get more camera-motion blur.
I will try it with more time sampling and fast rotation to see what happens.
What does the Vector motion blur? In which case you use that?

Best regards
Jörg

Being a more physical based renderer and unbiased that's not possible. We don't have any options to fake this power. It simply iterates the keyframes of objects. So we can't obtain that.
And Vector motion blur will give you velocity vectors for your compositing softwares. But it disables mblur in normal renderer to don't cause conflicts.
