The world's fastest and most feature-rich unbiased render engine that integrates completely into Autodesk® Maya®.
Maya® Version Requirements
This release will work with Maya® Versions 2015, 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on MS Windows operating systems.
COMPATIBILITY AND OCTANERENDER STANDALONE REQUIREMENT
To run OctaneRender™ for Maya®, you need to also have an activated OctaneRender™ Standalone copy activated on the machine you wish to install the plugin onto.
You cannot purchase and use only the Maya plugin and use it without also owning an activated copy of OctaneRender™ Standalone on your machine.
CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION
- Fixed a particle system export bug.
- Fixed a particle system crash.

Hi Jim,
I need some help, how do I active the plugin version in Maya 2017 and Maya 2016 Ext 2?
I tried to enter my octane live 2.x userid and password but those are not working.
and yet in Maya 2014, Octane is working fine, and even the standalone works fine without asking to be activated

For all V2 plugin, activation should be the same,
maybe it's not working because you have standalone open at the same time ?

It's finally working now ~ I had to enter the numeric live ID first, and the password (typed not copy and paste) and then click activate... I get the error, and then I click in the numeric ID and delete and replace it with my account name.. then click activate... and that worked both for Maya 2016 Ext 2 and Maya 2017.... still a strange way to activate though...

Am I correct that the Zdepth pass is still not working?
If it isn't, then how can you call this "production ready"?

zdepth pass works, in V2 you have to enable the "tonemapping" option in pass settings to see it easily in IPR.
