network rendering issue

Hey Paul,

I'm using the latest Octane standalone and modo plug-in versions and I've come up with this but while rendering on 2 machines (4 GPUs)

1/4 of the screen renders faster then the rest. + after sometime it seems that the renders stops clearing up from the noise, even though the samples are still going up.

Really odd.
It looks something like the attachment. Any ideas?

PS. When I used render region the issue is gone! So I just selected as much of the image as possible with render region and it's rendering fine ... :o :?:

at first I was using the latest builds:

Latest TEST build (Octane 3.04.4)

Modo 901/902/10.1/10.2 (Windows) - OctaneRender for Modo 3.4.4.114

...but then I noticed that you wrote this:

Network Rendering
For Network Rendering, you must use the Octane slave release 3.03.4.

so I switched to 3.03.4 both for my machines - my rig and the network little helpers.

If this solution does not resolve your issue - can you pls report this problem to Otoy in the Octane Standalone 3.04.4 release thread.

Thanks

Paul

THIS! :o

Thank you.

I was going out of my mind with this one

don't you guys think that this checkbox "Minimize Net traffic" should more likely be in the Network settings pallet instead of the main plug-in settings?
It never occured to me to look for it there.
