Procedural Noise (default) animation problem

Hi again,

I am using c4d's default 'Noise' shader to displace (using Displacer) and to color in Diffuse Channel. I have animation in the noise shader.
The geometry is updating fine but I'm not able to get color updating. I can get that color update only by "Resend All Scene Data" option in render settings which is very slow rendering since I have to send all data every frame. :(

Similar issue is with default "Gradient" when trying to animate with 'frequency' with some turbulence. :(

Is this an version issue/bug or a octane limitation or I'm missing something ?

Thank you again.

Not issue or bug. It's about plugin mechanism. It requires some triggers to detect changes on "resend only updated objects" mode. Name should be self-explanatory.
It's asked many times and answered. Anyway add some keyframes to your shaders to get updates.

Hi guys,

I might be a little annoying but I can't get it to work too, even after reading almost all the posts talking about the subject.
I keyframed at start the "movement" (15 cm for exemple) and another keyframe at the end (15.1 cm), nothing moves in the live viewer.
"Animation speed" set to 0.2 is working but thats not what i am trying to achieve. I want to use the movement on a certain axis of my noise.

Could someone post something more detailed with some screenshots or video to be sure i didnt miss nothing ? That would be awesome ^^

Thanks !

Hi jeremyshin,
have you tried with 150 cm on the Z axies at the end frame?
