Hi guys,
I'm trying to get a hang on the V3 Volumes and sadly nothing happens when I try to get them. When creating a Volume VDB an setting it to "Generate" nothing appears in the viewport except an empty wireframe cube. And nothing is rendered in LiveViewer or PictureViewer.

Update: VDBs (in this case a cloudy bunny from openVDB) load nicely. a bit thin looking (propably have to tweak) but all in all its there.

you can find several example scenes in the v3 package linked in every c4doctane versions. Here is the direct link:

Please start from there to play with volumes, and don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions.

Thank you for linking the files.. but the problem persists. Every scene without loaded VDBs wont create volume.

I thought I had made it more clear: Loading VDBs works, but making a Voxel filled Object wont. Nothing to see in the viewport - shouldn't it work like:

1. click live viewer
2. click "objects"
3. click "fog volume"
4. go to "Generate" tab and klick "Cloud1"
5. A cloud of voxel placeholder in the viewport appears.

... 5. wont happen.

Hard to believe I guess. Check this screenshot from your example library, please.

Mmm, weird, here is your scene: are you sure to have installed everything correctly?

I suppose that you're using some old version somehow.

But which things would need to be updated? c4d, octane standalone, octane c4d and nvidia drivers (they include cuda version i believe?), right?

Only thing is correct plugin files. Rest is not important. Check console output when c4d loaded

Im not sure why the scene should be created in "version -1" though.
