Some of the latest example files for LW Octane show how you can have a scene with clouds in them. They are a bit slower to render, but they have actual volume and will blend with your objects seamlessly as they pass through. Animating the clouds is difficult however and your options are limited for the time being.
Check out the "Volumetric demo scenes" link in this post by the developer:

I'm sorry but how these demos are supposed to work?
Some give some kind of fog but most only give grey screen.
So if these are supposed to be demos for how to use Octane volumetrics, they fail big time
Please make some explanations and really working scenes that give some kind of idea how this works

Yes, sorry, a lot of things have changed since this first Octane 3.00 release in the volumetrics system, so some of these demos don't work now. I'll update them (and all the related docs) as soon as possible.
Attached you have the clouds one, that should work fine now with the latest plugin build.
Thanks for your patience,

WOW thank you very much Juanjo!
Yes these work fine
There is no 'procedural_volumetrics2.lws' in 'misc', was that intentional? There is 'procedural_volumetrics3.lws'

What would be nice is something similar to the type of fog that you can create in the stand alone version
