Subdivision Level Makes Object Black

Hello,
If I use an Octane ObjectTag to subdivide a mesh, it turns black. If the Subdivision level is 0, it renders, but it is not subdivided (obviously).

If I use Cinema 4D's Subdivision Surface to subdivide it, it renders correctly.

Could someone please explain what is happening and how I may fix it? Thank you.

Hi blastframe,
difficult to say without seeing the geometry :roll:
how and where was modelled the object?
Could you post some viewport screenshot to better understand how the polygons were created?
