Hi DamianPoci,
here is the link to the manual about VDB loader:
https://docs.otoy.com/#60Mode%3A%20VDB%20Loader
if you have issues, in general depends on the naming structures of your VDB files.

This link no longer works, would love to know how to name the sequence correctly.

whoopsy figured it out afterwards... for those that would like to know. import first VDB frame. In properties, select the film strip icon, select the frames afterwards and boom...VDB animation :D

Hi fivebythree
sorry, we have recently moved the documentation to a new server, so the links in the old forum discussions are no longer working.
Good to hear that you have already solved.
Anyway, here is the same page linked to the new documentation:
Volume object/Mode: VDB Loader

I am having the same problem here. I have a vdb sequence number smoke_0001, smoke_0001, etc. and the smoke_$F.vdb in the file path but nothing is showing up, I get the "vdb: not found" message. The vdb shows up when I select a individual file and render.

Is there any new documentation on this subject, the link is broken,

Set digits=4 because you have filenames like that and check log texts in vdb object if is it loaded. Adjust units until see yellow box.

Set digits to 4, still nothing.

This shows up in the log "cannot import a regular grid from an empty voxel buffer," I assume that is a problem.

Yellow box shows up only when I load one file from the vdb sequence and it also renders just fine.

What units should I be adjusting?

You said it's loading single frame but no sequence. So it's not logical to see this message. It should show up same message for another files too.
Please post a screenshot like this and also show how's your filenames from explorer window.
